About Keith Snider and
Stones End

I began my foray into stone
work in 1975. I bought the makings of a
rock saw, put it together in a third floor apartment in San Francisco, and then
dragged it around with me over 2000 miles.
It was 1999 before I heeded my calling and cut my first rock.
My home for the last 23 years
has been Bonners Ferry located in the Kootenai Valley of North Idaho. This beautiful valley was carved by glaciers
and the Kootenai River which runs through it has helped smooth the rough edges.
The stones capture the history of this area.
I am constantly amazed at the
variety of color and shape and the inner beauty of rocks. Nature is perfect. My
goal is to provide function without spoiling the natural beauty of the rocks.
The type and shape of the
stone determines its destination in my workshop.

Vases are the most popular
items in my product line. They are
water tested and can hold fresh or dried cuttings. Let your taste in flower arrangement determine the size and style
you choose.
Traditional Style Vases range
in size from two inches to twelve inches in height. The water reservoir for the smaller vases is one inch in diameter
but can be as wide as four inches for the larger vases. All have pin frogs in their reservoir to aid
in arrangements.
Bud Vases are designed to
show off your favorite single rose or thin cuttings. The shaft is one-half inch in diameter.
Ikebana Vases – I make several
variations of this style. Choose the
one that best suits your taste.
Wall Vases are my latest
addition to this line. They are similar
to the Traditional Style and Bud Vases but designed to adorn your wall.

Patio Rocks and Garden Stones
are my two outdoor items. The Garden
Stone surrounds a plant and holds warmth while keeping weeds at bay. The Patio Rocks hold four inch round
planters and add aesthetic value.
