Migo software revolutionizes mobile computing, or Igo for Migo.....

It’s a situation we all face if we’re dependent on using computers in our business and personal lives.

You have a main computer somewhere – either at your office or at your house – that has all your information on it: your email addresses and contacts and calendar,  your internet favorites places and settings, your correspondence and spreadsheets and other business documents.

You need this data with you when you travel or when you just go home, and so for years we’ve been copying data onto zip drives, or cd’s or dvd’s, or to portable computers, and taking  it with us, and copying it to another computer, and then copying it back to zip drives, or cd’s or dvd’s, or to portable computers, and then copying it  back to our main computer.

This has been a bulky complicated process of having to lug a lot of hardware and software around, and then trying to remember what we did – “which is the most current version of a document?”

With the introduction of USB Flashdrives a few years ago, for the first time users were able to copy large amounts of data onto a tiny devices. You can copy gigabytes of data to a flash drive – plug that flash drive into a different computer – and copy your data over quickly and easily.

Now Migo now revolutionizes your computing mobility.

This powerful software runs directly on your  USB drive, memory card, iPod, or even Playstation Portable.

With a Migo-enabled device, you can access all your data files, plus your settings and email, all organized in a way that’s familiar to you, from any computer that runs MS Office.

With Migo on your portable storage device, all your critical information is with you, and accessible from any computer, wherever you go. Then when you get back to your main computer, Migo synchronizes and updates your computer with all the work you did when you were in the field.

Migo is easy to install, and lets you customize how you want it to work. By default it will copy all your Desktop, Outlook and Internet Explorer settings, so that when you plug it into another computer – that computer magically looks just like yours, and has all your information. You can then select what other MS Office documents you want copied, and how recent you want them to be. So you will have your Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, whatever you want.

When you unplug it from the other computer – it eliminates all traces of your having used that computer. Then when you get back to your main computer and plug it in, it synchronizes and updates everything you did in the field  !

There are some restrictions for Migo to work its magic. The operating systems have to be Windows 2000 or newer, and the other computers have to be running Outlook and MS Office.  This means about 90% of the computers out there will work with it.

Migo comes in a home and professional version and is inexpensive in either – you can download it from migosoftware.com, and you can also try it out before buying.

This is a great new technology that eliminates us having to lug our portables everywhere,  and makes mobile computing a lot more enjoyable.
