Prison
Blues
Frank Delaney
One of the first blues I wrote in the 70's - written
for a blues harp accompianment. I've never been in prison, but I did spend the last year of my military service on isolated duty on Adak, Alaska, so I know how it is to miss civilization and be completely confined.

Goin'
home babe, been in prison way too long, (2X)
just
be waitin' at the station,
don't
you know I wanna sing my song.
Want
good whiskey baby, lots of things I want to do, (2X)
gonna
hang my hat on your bedpost,
gonna
spend some time with you.
Call
my friends, babe, everybody know the news, (2X)
gonna
have a party at my house,
ain't
gonna have these prison blues.
