Parchman Farm. Many greats of the country blues served time here. Frank
Delaney sings and plays
several guitars in the classic country&city blues styles. He produced The Backwater Blues Show for KPBX FM 91.1 Spokane Public Radio
(National Public Radio Network) from 1981 until 1988. This included a special
series "The Early Bluesmen" which featured many country blues
players including Mississippi John Hurt, Son House, Robert Johnson, Furry
Lewis, Fred McDowell, and others. Roger
Gibbs sings and plays
harmonica. He has been playing blues for over 20 years and has performed at
many blues festivals and clubs. The Parchmen are a combination of
blues styles, reflecting Frank's preference for the earlier acoustic country
