The Junior League

Frank Delaney (C) 1974

I once worked at a place overrun with do-good Junior Leaguers "Thick as thieves" as my Grandma would say.

C          F                 G                     G

Misses Harrington Snodgrass the three,

C             F           G                  C

wants to join the Joo-nee-yore league,

C                    G            F         C

knows she's plain, but oh so vain,

C                              F                   G                   C

provisional can-dee-date, for the Joo-nee-yore league.

Community ser-vice vol - unteer,

"Would never drink a glass of beer !"

Big diamond rings, big hats and things,

great can-dee-date for the Joo-nee-yore league.

Her old - man's rea - lly - got - the dough,

and she lets the whole world know,

Mercedez Benz, golfing with friends,

determined to join, the Joo-nee-yore League.

Always went to the right schools,

never done one thing that's cool,

her world's tweed, and the rummage sale's needs,

she'll fit right in, to the Joo-nee-yore League.
